Abertax Quality Ltd, a leading innovator in the production of high-quality components for industrial batteries, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Technician to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will join the team to work on problem solving, new installations and servicing of our in-house automation machine system and other equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
The chosen candidate will be responsible for:
- Fault finding and repair on production automation, injection and plant machinery.
- Maintenance on production and plant machinery.
- Installation of new machinery.
- Providing support to the R&D team in building and testing prototype equipment.
Requirements
The chosen candidate should:
- Have a Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering at MQF Level 4 or equivalent.
- Have a good electrical & mechanical technical background.
- Have knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Have a good understanding of technical drawings, including schematic drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Be proficient in the use of English.
- Be proficient in the use of computer applications such as Word and Excel.
- Have good organization and documentation skills.
- Possess problem-solving skills and have success-oriented thinking.
- Know how to use hand tools, power tools and other equipment.
- Posses a high motivation and capability of working on own initiative and with minimum supervision.
- Have the capability of undertaking the completion of small projects.
- Have the ability to work in a team environment.
- Possess a valid driving licence.
- Have a minimum of 3 years working experience.
- Wireman Licence A and B are considered assets.
