We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Systems R&D Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing new system solutions involving batteries, renewable energy and electro-mobility. The candidate will also be involved in design and commissioning of the manufacturing plant upgrades, equipment and automation systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that directly impact productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Research in batteries, renewable energies, electro-mobility and related subjects.
- Contribute in the company’s R&D projects together with partners or clients.
- Design and implement prototypes for verification and testing.
- Measure and analyze test data from prototypes to identify areas of improvement and performance.
- Design and implement upgrades in the plant machinery, automation and infrastructure.
- Participate in technical sourcing to support project proposals, budgeting and implementation.
- Document system configurations and user guides and maintain version control.
Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate should be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malta or equivalent. Applicants are also expected to have:
- A clean driving licence.
- A good technical & academic background.
- High motivation and capability of working on own initiative and with minimum supervision.
- The ability to work in a team environment.
- An innovative attitude, as well as the ability to keep abreast of emerging technologies.
Hands-on experience is considered an asset.
