Abertax Quality Ltd, a leading Maltese company in battery technologies and innovation for over 25 years, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Officer to support and strengthen our Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety systems. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve our Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Lead internal audits and support external/customer audits.
- Manage non-conformities, customer complaints, and the full CAPA/8D process.
- Oversee the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.
- Promote a strong Health & Safety culture, conduct risk assessments, deliver training, and support incident investigations.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
What We’re Looking For
A motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a passion for continuous improvement across Quality, Environment, and Safety.
The chosen applicant should:
- Be in possession of a degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Have at least 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally with direct exposure to management systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Exposure to IATF 16949 is highly desirable.
- Excellent documentation, organizational and process control skills.
- Proactive, analytical, and practises a detail-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools. Experience with statistical or data analysis tools is an advantage.
- Confident supporting all processes within the company seeking continuous improvement.
